Python Software Foundation Pledges to Match Donations to PyPy in September
September 2, 2014
Conservancy is pleased to announce that the Python Software Foundation (PSF) has pledged to match all donations to Conservancy member project PyPy for the month of September. As announced on the PSF's blog and on PyPy's blog, the PSF will match all donations to PyPy in September, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000 USD.
PSF's matching commitment applies to donations to PyPy's ongoing campaigns to support development relating to implementing transactional memory, creating a NumPy implementation, and supporting Python 3 in PyPy — as well as to donations to support PyPy's general progress.
Conservancy thanks the PSF for its generous support, and encourages everyone to donate to PyPy this month via PyPy's website.
PyPy is a fast, compliant implementation of the Python language designed to enable new advanced features without having to encode low level details.
