jQuery Joins the Software Freedom Conservancy

jQuery becomes Nineteenth Member Project of Conservancy

November 30, 2009

Today, the Software Freedom Conservancy welcomes jQuery as its newest member. jQuery joins 18 other Conservancy members, who receive the benefit of aggregated non-profit status available to all Conservancy member projects.

jQuery is a fast and concise JavaScript Library that simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development. The jQuery Project works to maintain the jQuery JavaScript library and nurture the community surrounding it.
