Software Freedom Conservancy Accepted to Google Summer of Code

March 18, 2008

The Software Freedom Conservancy is among the mentoring organizations accepted for participation in Google Summer of Code 2008. Students interested in helping to build infrastructure software for nonprofit organizations and small law offices are invited to read the posted ideas page and apply to the program.

Students can apply to Summer of Code through Google's web site between March 24 and March 31.

In addition to the Conservancy itself, seven of its member projects have been accepted as mentoring organizations for Summer of Code, including ArgoUML, Boost, Inkscape, Mercurial, OpenChange, Samba and Wine. The Conservancy and its member projects together account for 8 of the 175 mentoring organizations.
