Get the latest update on our Vizio court case
Until July 17ᵗʰ, we'll direct all newly initiated Sustainerships and SFC donations to our software right-to-repair work & efforts to resolve Bambu Lab's AGPLv3 violations!
$2,048 raised!
$247,959 to go!

Help us reach this goal so we can dedicate a full-time SFC staffer on our software right to repair work for 3D printers, and take action on Bambu Lab's AGPLv3 violations!

Use The Source

Bambu Studio (Linux) 2.4.0

Vendor: Bambu Lab

Device: Bambu Studio

Released: Nov. 18, 2025

We found the source candidate here alongside the AppImage file in the image .tar.xz file, and installing/running that AppImage file downloads the libbambu_networking.so file also found in the image .tar.xz file. An initial review suggests partial source for the AppImage file, but no source code at all for the .so file, even though full source code is required for both under AGPLv3.

We at SFC have started a project to add the missing source code (either by reverse engineering, or once it is received from Bambu Lab). We encourage people to join our effort so we can get people full freedom in their Bambu Studio software (and related printing)! Check it out at https://f.sfconservancy.org/baltobu/viscose
