Amarok becomes Eighteenth Member Project of Conservancy

November 2, 2009

Today, the Software Freedom Conservancy welcomes the Amarok project as its newest member. Amarok joins 17 other Conservancy members, who receive the benefit of aggregated non-profit status available to all Conservancy member projects.

Amarok is a powerful music player with the aim to help people rediscover music. It offers powerful collection management, context information, integration of online services and a lot more. Amarok is also affiliated with KDE for project software development, but joins Conservancy today as a member project for its non-profit status and membership.
